Office of the President
The president facilitates strategic visioning, coordinates the planning to accomplish its mission and provides direction and leadership to the core functions, ministry activities and programs of the Central California Conference.
Areas of focus include: strategic planning, finance, board management, personnel, upper organization and institutional representation, fundraising and program delivery.
Ramiro Cano and his wife Mary Ellen of more than 40 years, have served in the Central California Conference since 1997. He has served in various capacities since his tenure in Central began:
- President since November 21, 2010
- Executive Secretary—2004-2010
- Associate Executive Secretary—2002-2004
- Senior Pastor—1997-2003
Ramiro and Mary Ellen are blessed with three children and six grandchildren. All three adult children live in Central. Their daughter teaches in an Adventist school, one son is a pastor and the youngest son is a fireman and graphic arts designer.
The family was called to Central from the Texico Conference of the Southwestern Union of Seventh-day Adventists. Read more
